Top 25 Albums of 2013

I’m going to skip a lot of the formalities that come with writing a post like this (much like I did in my Songs of the Year post), in order to get to more pressing issues. First, as I promised, here’s the results of the “community poll” that I put up on Facebook a while ago. I used a weighted points system that’s probably not great, so no complaining. Here’s what you all have been listening to this year:

Community Poll

10. Bastille: “Bad Blood”

9. Daughter: “If You Leave”

8. Drake: “Nothing Was The Same”

7. The Head and the Heart: “Let’s Be Still”

6. A Day To Remember: “Common Courtesy”

5. Lorde: “Pure Heroine”

4. Volcano Choir: “Repave”

3. Kanye West: “Yeezus”

2. Justin Timberlake: “The 20/20 Experience”

1. Vampire Weekend: “Modern Vampires of the City”

And finally, I didn’t get to listen to every album that was released this year, and I’m sure I missed a few classics that would’ve made this list easily. Obviously, I highly recommend all of these albums as I enjoyed them all immensely. I would suggest that you take a chance on them, because its all excellent music.
